Joe Michael Straczynski was lead Story Editor on the Real Ghostubsters during Seasons 1 & 2 he was also a writer on numerous early episodes. He was responsible for writing the Real Ghostbusters production bible, which was used by the crew to develop the characters and maintain a consistant storyline. The character The Great Strazinski from the Real Ghostbusters episode You Can't Teach an Old Demon New Tricks is named after him. He left the Real Ghostbusters when it took a more child friendly approach with Slimer!, but was persauded to return in Season 6. The episode Janine, You've Changed was a tongue in cheek approach to explain why the characters were changing in their appearances, and even in voice (as some voice over artists were replaced in the previous seasons).
