This is my second ectomobile conversion. After the original Ecto-1k was totaled by a semi, I bought a larger, newer, 2003 Subaru Outback. We did some touch-up work on the original rack from the 1998, repairing minor damage, and then tranferred it to the new car. This incarnation of our ectomobile was completed around the second week of December. Major differences between it and the original car include lightbar controls mounted inside the dashboard, and the sound system and power blocks moved from the rear seat to the cargo bay. Since december numerous items have been added to the roofrack including hoses on the right side of the car, the red and white sonobouy, a black paintball hopper, a false security camera dome, a weather vane spinner, and a voltage guage housing. This car has been tested at speeds of 100mph, and has garnered a reputation in the local community for helping pull stranded cars out of the snow during the 2006 blizzards. --Boomerjinks (talk)
