Prop:Mjspiegel's Slime Blower

Wasn't done then...and I'm not done now..here is my latest prop...the Slime Blower. This thing was a monster of a project. I had no idea it would take so long to build this. It is not a prop that I have found much information about, so I improvised with everything. The main tank is a sewer drain. I found this in what I am calling an abandoned contract site. This was obviously a scrap tube, so I grabbed it for the tank. It is nearly perfect (maybe slightly large) based on attempts to measure the tanks from movie stills. Either way, all of the tanks are accurately sized according to ratios taken from the movie stills. I created a mold for the caps of the sewer pipe and vacuum formed plastic. They are pretty good...if I had a chance to attempt them again, I would. One of the caps on the side tanks is also vacuum formed and the other one is a hamster ball. The battery pack is in the box under the tank. When I added the sounds into my pack, I needed more battery juice. So I bought a new battery and used my old proton pack battery to run the lights on the blower. The left and right "headlights" are actually bike headlights. I have been asked where I bought them. They were purchased from Amazon, unfortunately, I have not seen them listed since. I built the small boxes out of wood and attempted to make the light sequence as movie accurate as possible. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. I have no plans to build another one. Redoing the main tank to save on weight may happen as I get older and my shoulders aren't as interested in supporting the weight. I am not actively looking for other options, but if I ran into something, I figure there would be some sort of trigger in my brain that would go off. Hope you like it! --mjspiegel (talk)
