Real Ghostbusters: Episode Guide

A descendant of Ichabod Crane is plagued by a headless apparition who chases her friends and throws his head at them. Can the Ghostbusters help break the curse?

  • The title and episode are based off The Headless Horseman from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
  • The recurring character of Lieutenant Frump appears.
  • Peter drives his car in street clothes, though in a close shot, he's in his jumpsuit.
  • Psychic headgear worn toward the end of the episode slightly resembles the colander headgear worn by Rick Moranis as Louis in the first Ghostbusters movie.
  • Toward the end of the episode, Ecto-1's doors open but are colored as the blue police car from the episode.

Ray Stantz: Peter's helmet will amplify his psycho-imprints; now that the ghost is so close, it won't be able to resist.
Kate: Isn't that dangerous?
Ray Stantz: Peter understands the risk. But he knows it's a great plan.
Peter Venkman (adjusting the helmet): This is a really stupid plan.

Ray Stantz: The eagle is landing! The eagle is landing!!
Egon Spengler: I wish you wouldn't be so mellow dramatic Ray, this is just a simple ectoplasmic manifestation of 12.5 on the flumarian scale. Not a ride at DisneyLand.
Ray Stantz: Oh. Sorry Egon.
