Sign in with the email address on your old forum account, not your forum username.

If you had an account on the old forum and you are now asked to pick a username, or told your username is already taken, stop. That means a new account is being created, and it will not carry your posts, orders, or history. Your old account is still there, under the email address it was registered with.
