Has anyone tried animating the spline you've set the plug in to follow? Whenever I've tried to do it, it's crashed my houdini immediately. Wondering if that's just a side effect of the plug in, or if I'm doing something wrong because I'd love to have the spline dynamic instead of just having the bea...

Has anyone replaced the hose on an authentic bacharach sniffer that goes to the probe? The hose on mine is pretty worn out and the outer layer of black is cracked and flaking off.

You could go red theater gel like the real ones were. They're generally cheap as heck.

I DID notice this in the trailer... When they shot Ernie Hudson's cameo as a real estate agent, it was during the day time and the firehouse was dormant. Here, this is dusk and lights are on. Looks like the ladies will be obtaining the firehouse after all. http://www.gbfans.com/images/pb/MikeD202/f...

There's a Pack build reference thread (http://www.gbfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28621) and I'm pretty sure that perusing the links in that post will really help answer any questions you have in one way or another. There are threads on builds for every part with multiple manufacturers of p...

If too much of the resin has broken away, I'd recommend using JB Weld steel stick. I've used a few different two part epoxy putties (apoxie sculpt, mighty putty, etc) and a lot of them, while good for smaller stuff, aren't reliable enough for anything structural. Just follow the directions on the co...

I was drooling over it on my phone. The second I saw it on my PC, I changed my mind. The straps on the frame are horrible. That's one detail that, given the amount of reference you can get on them, is unforgivable. Also, I'm pretty sure they used the matty collector trap for some reference. Like the...

Do we know the history of the packs actual design conception? It looks inspired by camera and lighting parts to some extent. Was something mocked up using found parts, and then worked on and developed by the prop designers to make it into what we know today ? There's a photo of the first proton pac...

Something I've always wondered about with the ECU is whether or not there is one small trapezoid on the side, or two of them, one on each side. As far as I know, there are absolutely no pictures of it that show that spot on the left hand side of the real unit, but I may be wrong. Back on track, this...

My pack is near completion and I think the only way I'd let someone else wear it (who doesn't already own a pack) is sober and in the comfort of my own home. Even then, I'd be incredibly cautious with who puts it on. I would never let anyone borrow it, sans an incredibly high refundable deposit.

I'd be okay with something kind of like the Kill Paris remix, but it definitely wouldn't be timeless like the RPJ original.

Then again, I really don't think any of this will be timeless.

I think the makeshift uniform MIGHT be just a stunt suit, but knowing this production it probably isn't. I think a great way to pull it off is if you have an after credits scene where Dan, Bill, Ernie or any other original GB member is alone sitting in a theater talking about their thoughts on the movie, clearly as their original characters as if this is just a movie in their universe and they're the r...

I redact my previous statement. It's an '84 Cadillac Fleetwood.

The Superior doesn't have that small side light near the back like the Fleetwood's do. Just an observation.

I think it's a 1984 cadillac superior hearse. The '91 has chrome trim that goes around the wheel well and the front bumper goes back further.

I think the Feig pack is going to be akin to the cartoon packs. Sure, some people will build them, but the norm will always be the OG 84-89 packs. I'm all for a new name. We can just call it the Reboot Pack. We're not even sure if it's called a proton pack in the movie. Possibly a plasma pack. Who k...
