Shandor the Architect (aka Shandor, Ascendant)

Category: Class VII Transformed Mortal Remnant Type: Deity (supreme being) Behaviors: Attack: Throw Weakness: Meson Collider Special: Protected by Mystical Barriers, Summoning ability Notes: Though his early history is problematic and open to debate, it is known that Ivo Shandor was a medical doctor who performed a lot of unnecessary surgery as well as an architect of some renown. After World War I, Shandor decided that society was too sick to survive. On June 6th, 1920, he started a secret society of Gozer Worshipers, numbering nearly 1,000, dedicated to bringing about the end of the world. It is now known that Shandor and his follower researched heavily into the paranormal, especially in the areas of pre-apocalism and ectoplasmic hybridology. During the same time, Shandor apparently also made some serious connections within the Gozerian pantheon because, following his death, he has undergone a complete transformation and has become a major Gozerian power himself. Contact and Strategy: Found in Central Park Cemetery, Final Boss. * Xbox 360/PS3/PC version
is it! Shandor's spirit has a few tricks up his sleeve. He's protected by a mystical barrier generated from the four towers that surround him. Inside these towers are crystals charged with psychokinetic energy. These crystals will have to be destroyed. You can pry them open with the Slime Tethers, or just blast Shandor with your Meson Collider until he needs to regenerate his shield. Either way, once the crystals are exposed, they can be shattered. The Meson Collider works fine for this. Shandor is unlikely to sit there and let you take out his shield generators, so expect a big green sphere to ruin the day of any Ghostbuster it hits. Try not to be that guy. He also summons Flying Skulls, which can be ignored as long as you're not standing directly in their path. Once his shield's down, you can wrangle him through the gateway to the ghostworld. Wait, what? The mother pus bucket brought the Ghostbusters to the other side with him! Destructor-Form Shandor is easy to defeat because you already know how: shoot the regeneration crystals when they show up, shoot him otherwise. This time, however, he throws boulders. It's considered preferable to shoot the boulder rather than let it bounce off your skull. Your choice, of course. The annoying bit is that the crystals keep coming back every time he pops up in the middle, so expect that situation to be a game of catch-up while most of your real damage will be done as he hops from corner to corner. He can also cause volcanic blasts to fire up from the ground. If it looks like you're about to get some major hot-foot action, dodge to the side. Image(s):
