image Category: Class V Full-Roaming Vapor Type: Ghost (must trap) Behaviors: Attack: Throw, Rush Weakness: Proton Stream Dazed Duration: Long Trap Resistance: Low Notes: Sometimes called "Onionhead" or simply "the Mean Green Ghost," Ray purportedly named this creature "Slimer" specifically to annoy Peter (who still carries a long-standing distrust of the creature). Regardless of what he's called, this focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm personifies gluttony and is drawn to anything edible. While this Class V, Full Roaming Vapor isn't especially malicious, you don't want to be between him and a snack. Use caution when he's hungry, which is all the time. Watch out. Slimer is hiding from you so he can spring an ambush. Contact and Strategy:

  • (PC/PS3/X360): Slimer is THE textbook example of how to bust a ghost. Shoot him with the Proton Stream until the reticle turns red. Throw a capture stream on him, slam him until he sees stars, and wrangle him into a trap. He will occasionally throw things or attempt to slime you, but not with any real frequency. He is fond of hiding inside solid objects. You can wait him out, or you can destroy the object. Then it's back to blasting. It can be time consuming, but not exactly difficult. Image(s): image
