Adam Speers is an actor whose screen credits span from 2012 onward, with appearances in a number of British and international productions.1 He is best known to Ghostbusters fans for playing the Doll Owner in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), part of a group of haunted-object sellers who visit Ray's Occult Books to have their items assessed.2 His IMDb profile also lists him as working in a talent-agent capacity.1

Career

Speers established his screen presence across a range of British productions during the 2010s. Among his early credits is Pulp (2013), a British comedy directed by Adam Hamdy and Shaun Magher, in which Speers played a Priest.3 Around the same period he appeared in Keep the Fire (2012).1

He also had an association with Peaky Blinders, the acclaimed BBC period-crime drama set in post-World War One Birmingham, which ran from 2013 to 2022 and garnered an extensive international following.14

In 2021 he appeared in The Bezonians, a British crime comedy, playing Masked Robber 1.1 Two years later he took the role of a Sanitation Inspector in DogMan (2023), the Luc Besson-directed drama produced in France and the United States.1

His profile increased considerably in 2024 with back-to-back appearances in two major studio sequels released that year: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in both of which he played supporting roles (see below).1 He also appeared in Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare (2024) as a Bus Driver.1 A 2025 project, Vows, is listed on his TMDB profile with Speers playing a character named Winton.5

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), directed by Gil Kenan, Adam Speers is credited as the Doll Owner.2 His character is among the Repossessed Resellers, a group of people who bring apparently haunted objects to Ray Stantz at Ray's Occult Books seeking an assessment. The sequence is an early scene in the film that reestablishes Ray's shop as a hub for paranormal curiosities.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Also released in 2024, Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cast Speers as Emmet Welch.6 The film was released theatrically on September 6, 2024.6
