Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (born March 8, 1987, Tashkent, Uzbek SSR) is an American actress, comedian, and activist. Her family fled the Soviet Union as Jewish refugees when she was three years old and settled in West Hollywood, California. She began her career as a child actress appearing in television commercials and gradually expanded into scripted film and television.
Vayntrub is perhaps best recognized by general audiences for her role as Lily Adams, the enthusiastic and knowledgeable saleswoman, in a long-running series of AT&T television commercials beginning in 2013. On television, she had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017) and was a series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015), which also featured Karan Soni, Neil Casey, and Eugene Cordero, all of whom appeared alongside her in the 2016 Ghostbusters film. Vayntrub has also voiced the Marvel superhero Squirrel Girl in multiple animated series under the Marvel Rising banner and in the 2024 video game Marvel Rivals.
In Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016), Vayntrub played the Subway Rat Woman, a pedestrian at the 50th Street Subway Station entrance who witnesses the Ghost Invasion unleashed when Rowan North releases all the city's ghosts. During the invasion, Subway Ghost Rats fly out of the station entrance in a mass surge, much to the evident disgust of her character. In 2016 she co-founded the social media movement "Can't Do Nothing" to spotlight the European migrant crisis after visiting Greece and meeting Syrian refugee families.
