Luis Antonio Delgado

Luis Antonio Delgado is a comic book colorist best known among Ghostbusters fans for his long run on the IDW Publishing Ghostbusters comics. He colored the bulk of IDW's Ghostbusters output from the first ongoing series through the 35th anniversary one-shots, often working alongside writer Erik Burnham. He was born December 21, 1982 in Mexico City.1
Background
Delgado bought his first comic book at age eight, a copy of Superman (volume 2) #44 from the "Dark Knight over Metropolis" arc. Seeing his two favorite characters in a single story convinced him that there was a whole world to explore in comics.1
He pursued the work seriously in 2007. While finishing a Graphic Design degree, Delgado tracked down a teacher named Raúl Cruz through an animation-school advertisement his father had spotted. The school had closed, but Cruz took him on privately and taught him watercolors, acrylics, and digital coloring.
Cruz brought Delgado along to San Diego Comic-Con in 2007, where Delgado helped translate for another artist and met Tom Waltz. Waltz asked him to send a portfolio. Months later Delgado landed his first IDW assignment, coloring a twelve-page story in Gene Simmons House of Horrors #3. He went on to color the Ghostbusters one-shots Con-Volution and What in Samhain Just Happened?!, along with Star Trek: Infestation and Duke Nukem, before accepting the offer to color the ongoing Ghostbusters series.
