Lovecraft--Howard Phillips Lovecraft. - "Alice Derleth" refers to August Derleth, who shaped and refined the various aspects of Lovecraft's mythos, as well as that of various authors, into a cohesive universe. - "The Call of Cthulhu" first appeared in Weird Tales Magazine in February, 1928...sixty years before this episode aired. - Peter's line of "Back off man. I'm a Ghostbuster" is a reference to the first Ghostbusters movie where Venkman says "Back off man.
