Proton Pack

Well it's pretty late here but I just finished uploading the video of the lights I installed around Christmas. Here it is for your enjoyment!

After going back to school nothing has been done on the pack. Of course that doesn't mean I haven't been working on other things as well. There are still a couple authentic parts I would like to add to the pack (Clippard Valves, my Makita rig, accurate ALICE straps, etc.) before calling it done. On a side note, if you know anyone who has a spare R-701 valve sitting around let me know!

I also got the chance to add namebrand's transfers to my thrower. They were from the first run so unfortunately they didn't all work out. I'll figure it out in the end and will post more pictures come March when I get back home. Until then, hopefully the video keeps you satisfied!

P.S. I'd like to thank all of you for the awesome comments! Every time I read one it helps keep that spark going inside me to keep building. After 3 years this thing is starting to get to me and working on it becomes harder and harder. So here's to you guys!

Well sort of...

Aside from a few grebblies on the thrower, the pack has been completed! I just received the R-701 in the mail a couple weeks ago and threw it on as well so it's even closer to being truly completed. For now though, I'll say this works.

This pack is constructed entirely from 1/4" scrap plywood and about 20lbs of wood putty. Everything not found has been scratch built on this pack. The various metal parts have been accumulated over the years a big thanks go out to phantom50, namebrand, and UmoriBawar for their superior work. Labels are by Bobmatt and I'm not really sure where the rest of the stuff came from. One of the downsides of taking 4+ years to complete!

I do plan to add sounds and lights which will also be scratch built by me. The Hyperdyne kit I had installed before has finally crapped out and will be replaced by my own.
