Belt Gizmo prop built by Randy Forrester at Flatland Props in Aubrey, TX. The following is my attempt at dissceting the piece: The main circuit board is a Creative 'Sound Blaster' audio card. The tubes are assorted Eaton Bussman fuses, mounted very sturdily to the board via the solid assembly at the top. Error box attached also very sturdily to the same assembly. The lights behind the tubes are multi-color, and flash/dim/blink somewhat randomly. The error box light stays on solid blue. These appear to run on additional circuity that is more or less hidden just inside the holster. The whole piece is bolted pretty solid to the black leather holster, which is very sturdy as well. The switch on the side controls the lights (on/off). All of this runs on 2 AA batteries in a case that fits inside the holster. The daughterboard is an Agere Systems fax modem card, connected accurately enough by a pretty standard black coil cord. Attaches to the belt with what looks like a money clip mounted on the back side. All in all, I'm very happy with it. I know it's not screen accurate, but it's attractive. I may rough it up a bit, potentially black out the colored ports at the bottom and stretch out the coil cord a bit. If I do, I'll post additional photos of the 'revised' version. For now, this is all right out of the box!
