Proton Pack

Hey everyone, My Name is Jason and i wanted to share my proton pack that i created using stuff from the dollar store and a whole lot of creativity.Tthis post is not pic heavy, it is word heavy, so if you have any questions please feel free to message me.This started off as a halloween pack, I think it came out Very well considering my budget.I started with the mother board, It is made of stacked foam board "sandwiched" together for thick-ness and support I then made a frame out of PVC and attached straps to them as i could not find a ALICE pack frame in time. The ION ARM: i crafted out of foam board and the the brass part was a pencil i painted brass. The HGA: is a measuring cup with the handel cut off, the GEAR BOXES: were two recipe boxes. the POWERBAR and BOX was constructed of a sandwich container, covered with a blue transparent folder i cut to size to glow blue and i found a pumpkin strobe from walmart and placed it inside the box to give it light, it flashed rather then scrolled , It isnt movie accurate but hey it lit up , The CYCLETRON: was constructed from two cake pans i found at the good will, I glued them together and drilled 4 holes into the pan to make holes for the lights i covered the holes with red reflectors from walmart , i found lights at big lots that were leds and blinked when the box was on or set to motion , so the CYCLETRON blinked rather than chased , i used pill bottles for CLIPPARD VALVES, some pics show my homemade ribbon cable this was temporary until i got my real RIBBON CABLE , i know i left alot of details out but it wasnt bad for the materials used and budget, My thrower is made out of 3/4 pvc for the wand and handel, a sandwich box as the gun body wich i put LED's i found at BIGLOTS i used a turkey baster for the clear barrel, and glued caps and suck for knobs the gun lit up as well and projected , I also placed speakers on the pack and connected my IPOD to the gun and down loaded the GHOSTBUSTER theme song, the proton pack start up and the blaster sounds so it had sound effects as well, it won me first place in THREE!! contests i was very proud of my work , Next halloween i hope to have a New and improved proton pack, Well thanks for reading
