Hello, all! This is my slime blower, Sebastian. First off, a little history on the build: Back in 2009, when I first found this site, and first found myself immersed in this fandom, I found myself wanting to build props, like so many of you did so well back then. I never hoped to be able to build an accurate pack, and wanted a little bit of originality, so I decided to build myself a blower. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no building skills back then. No tools, no talent, and was significantly below the drinking age (I'M MAKING A "MILLER TIME" REFERENCE, DAMMIT!). Not only that, but I also learned, after I joined the Ghostbusters of Salt Lake, that a local member already built one! http://www.gbfans.com/fans/fleshcleaver/ At that time, I thought Fleshcleaver's slime blower was one of the most beautiful sights in the world. It was so big, and had the brightest lights imaginable. The gun was so shiny, and solid. This is what I had envisioned. This is what I wanted to build. I just had no idea how, so I shelved the project, until I could become more knowledgeable about the building process. 2010 came and went, as did 2011. 2012, I found myself with my first proton pack, which made me decide to keep the blower on that metaphorical shelf indefinitely. Later that year, however, MMM started producing aluminum parts for the blower. I was fortunate enough to buy a "gun" shell from him (Psychomagnotheric Plasm Discharge Port sounds too pretentious, and "gun" sounds too violent). I also bought two pump boxes, and the aluminum side-plates for the ALICE frame. I was still relatively unknowledgeable about the blower's construction, but I plowed forward, managing to build a gun that wasn't bad. It works ,even if the placement of the parts on it isn't quite how I'd do it now. At any rate, I was still going forward with my first pack, Analee, at the time, so I decided a "gun" would be as far as I'd go at that point. 2012 finally passed, as did most of 2013. In 2013, I built my second pack, Aly, whose gallery can be found in my profile. After the pack build, I was so bored! I had nothing to fill my spare time, and felt a bit depressed. I had to keep myself busy again, so I toyed with the idea of continuing my blower build. I bought all the Parker fittings on ebay (at a damn good price, might I add), and started building it all. My goal was to have it done by 2014. Then Salt Lake Comic Con announced Ernie Hudson as a guest for April's "Fan X" event. I knew I had no choice but to prepare the blower to be signed by Ernie. That's where I am now. Trying to build an accurate blower in the span of three months. Oh, is it already two months? Dang. Anyways, whether I succeed or not, it is an absolute blast so far. That said, there are a few things I will be doing temporarily, which will be fixed later on. Most notably, the vest. I'll make the vest, and re-arrange the shoulder straps later, For now, I have that thick neck padding. At any rate, here are some pics! Enjoy! Edit: Hey, it's pretty much done! All I need to do is install lights. Thanks for following this build, anyone who did... It was fun, it was tough, and it was... An experience. (Whaddya want? This isn't an existential paper. It was an experience. Deal with it!)
