I'm in the process of making a proton pack. I have laser cut a 14 Gauge steel sheet for the motherboard (yeah, it's a little heavier than AL). I am also using rings of MDF and plywood for my layers. It'll be a little heavier than a vac-formed pack, but I'm hoping the crispness of the details will make it worth it. I don't currently plan on wearing this that much. Hopefully there won't be too many gouls to take care of around here.
