Proton Pack

when a couple of friends announced a costume party, i decided to proceed with my Ghostbusters costume. since the pack is the most recognizable part of the character, thats where i started. i made this from a mix of Norm and Sean's proton pack plans, i built this in 3 rainy day afternoons, which restricted the time i had to do cutting and drilling outdoors. since i live in the Philippines and most of the parts are not readily available, i made some shortcuts in some places and non-accurate pieces were used due to time constraints. using scrap wood lying around the house, most of the boxes are solid wood layered and screwed together which makes the pack really heavy. i found an ALICE frame at a military supply store for only US$11. i tried using sheet metal for the Proton Gun body but was not happy with how it looked(i also cut myself on the metal, twice)
i plan to make another more accurate pack soon.
