For Halloween 2010 I decided to put together a Ghostbuster uniform. I don't have the time, skills, or money to assemble a Proton Pack or any other involved props right now, so I decided that my Proton Pack Backpack from 80sTees.com would suffice to complete the illusion for the time being.
I ordered my gloves, pistol belts (2 of them which I sewed together because, as you can see, I'm not in any shape to really run around busting ghosts), elbow pads, and coveralls from Amazon. After reading some buyer reviews, I decided that I probably wouldn't be able to find a screen-accurate flight suit in my size, so I went with a pair of extra tall Poplin Coveralls. The arms and legs were far too long, but the rest fit nicely, so I shortened it up a bit. My Ghostbusters logo patch came from Ebay, and the "Stantz" name patch was ordered from right here on GBFans.com. I already had a pair of black boots, and for the knick-knacks hanging from my belt I just rummaged through the garage and basement looking for items with clips and clasps on them. In the end, there are far more impressive uniforms to be found here on GBFans, but for a Halloween costume I think that everything turned out pretty well. I doubt there will be any confusion as to who I'm supposed to be, anyway.
