The uniform is a khaki poly/cotton flight suit from Flightsuits Ltd. (now called Gibson & Barnes) and has been lightly dyed to give it that classic "pinkish" tint.
Although the quality and craftsmanship of the suit is outstanding, it does not have brass zippers and the storm flap-- two important details that are inherent on the screen used suits. When I ordered my suit, I specifically asked for brass zippers, but they were out of them at the time, so the suit has nylon zippers. After I received my suit, I noticed it didn't have a storm flap. I called the company and they told me that custom custom suits no longer have the storm flap. Whatever. I may have been fed a line of bull but who knows. I could have returned the suit for a full refund but decided to keep it anyway. It's still very nice, just not exactly what I was hoping for.

The hose connector was fabricated by myself from stacked PVC pipe and painted to look like the ones seen on the screen used suits. The color is Rustoleum Sand Stone spraypaint # 7903830 - Moss Rock.

*UPDATE- a recent discovery made by GBFreek83 is indicating that the original hose connectors used in the movies could very well be a vintage era "valve stem seal" found on a variety of vehicles and motorcycles. It's still not known which vehicle model was used but there are several styles that provide a close match. Peruse these sites and you be the judge:

Most of the valve seals that bear a strong resemblance to the ones in the the films appear to have a metal body. What's interesting is that the screen used connectors are made of very soft material with quite a bit of flashing still visible on the inside of the opening so it is possible that a metal valve was molded and multiples were cast out of a soft rubber material. The connectors in the films were also painted a greenish-gray color.
