Proton Pack

Hoo boy. It took two years to get it to this point. I started out with the intention of constructing the entire thing out of foamcore. I realized pretty early on that this wouldn't be very practical. By Halloween of '08 it was completed, with the top half of the pack built out of foamcore and the rest built out of MDF, plywood and plastic. By 2010 the upper portions were all coming undone, so in early October I decided to pull the two halves apart and reconstruct all the foam parts from MDF(not to mention tone down the weathering by a while big bunch). Overall I'm fairly pleased with it. It's in need of some touchups, and there's a few things that bother me about it, but I think it's essentially finished. I'm trying to decide now if I want to update some of the parts on here or not. I'm sort of itching to build a new one. On the first page you'll see pictures of where it is now. The second page has the original build as well as a bit of the the in between in progress shots.
