Proton Pack

I built this Proton Pack from the plans available online (both sets). I built it mostly of Sintra pvc board scraps. Its fairly light. I don't have any working electronics in it because I wanted to conserve on the weight. The straps are blue by concious decision and the alice pack frame is still army green. I wanted it to be slightly different than the movie packs, but not so different that it wasn't a replica. I scratch-built a whole bunch of stuff because I didn't have access to the original found-parts. I also found some attachment clips to replace the real clips used for the gun mount. Since the originals are so bloody hard to find, I looked through the Grainger catalog and found a relacement that doesn't look the same, but does the same job. The clips were very cheap...I think they were about $6.00 or so. I also made the face of the main chamber removable by velcro bits so if I ever wanted to put lights in there I would still have access without tearing anything apart. It took me about three concentrated days to build it (discounting the whole sleeping and eating thing and the endless search for materials). Check out my Ghost Trap too!
