Bit pricey, bought it anyway. Cheaper than making one even with 3D printing and is probably a fun base for modding. Wonder if it can take the real microphones?

I think the price was okay considering it’s such a niche prop, has to be the easiest cheapest option
I think my only complaint is the kind of poor weathering process they do. I imagine a lot of people are going to buy those and throw a coat of paint on it and it will look very nice.
Off the shelf it doesn’t look bad but it’s priced at a point where I don’t plan on buying one immediately. I’ll gamble on the post Halloween in-store sale.
I am curious about what the guts look like once the inevitable tear down reviews come in. Looks like battery panel is on the front so might be another tight fit like the PKE.
I’m assuming they’re still trying to offload all the gloves they had made to go with the deluxe packs which is why they’re bundled with it but feels like a missed opportunity to recolor them to match the ghost train scene.
Neat. i agree with AJ, some weathering would complete the look.

x.comSpirit regularly gives 20% coupons if you sign up. My only concern is that it won’t be popular enough justify doing a second run and I don’t see them being in stores this year. Even when it gets to retail I’m going to assume each store is only get one or two. It making it to 50% in Nov 2027 seems very slim.. Im now down to just a slime blower. After that I might be tapped out as GB Fan, I’m definitely out of space. If 25 years ago I wrote a wish list of all the Ghostbusters merch I wanted, for the most part got made

I imagine that is only partly due to the fact that this shipment was received so late. They did expect these would arrive a few months ago judging from the shipping manifests. I would bet they would have them in store next year.

I got mine yesterday. Overall, fairly happy with the quality. The best part of the giga meter is the electronics with its spinning dome, moving ears and lights. I wish you could turn the volume down. Cosmetically it’s accurate enough for me, the Giga Meter is my favorite gadget addition from GB 2. My only complaints are, and they aren’t even a big deal, is the weathering is a bit much and the name patches are GB1
. But honestly, I couldn’t build this cheaper on my own with my limited electronics knowledge. Down the road I may attempt to undo some of the weathering.
The weathering is hilariously bad. I’m begging these companies to stop weathering stuff.

I don’t think they lost the license. But it could be something weird where it didn’t actually extend to GB2 specific items. But I think they have GB2 costumes, so not sure.
Edit: just checked their socials and they didn’t pull the post about it. It’s all very weird.

Did a quick and dirty tear down of the new gigameter. Hope it’s helpful for anyone curious on how this thing works. I stopped at the light dome because I wasn’t sure how it came off and I didn’t want to break this thing on the first day of owning it. The plastic is cheap, but actually much better than I was expecting. Also, be EXTREMELY careful with the ears.
