Federal Signal and Siren Company is the manufacturer of the siren and beacon for the Ecto-1. Federal Signal is a public safety equipment that is headquarterd in Chicago Illinois and continues to manufacture equipment today.Coaster SirenThe siren is a federal model C5GB coaster-style siren. It is supposed to be chrome, however it was painted silver during the restoration.
BeaconThe Beacon is a Model 19 "Propello Ray". Somewhere between the back lot and the freshening up for display, the red lens disappeared and is currently not on the beacon.
