This section collects the gear the Ghostbusters use to find, capture, and store ghosts, along with the props and incidental hardware that turn up alongside it across the films. In-universe, the core kit was built by Egon Spengler and Ray Stantz, and the working method stays the same throughout the franchise: detect an entity, hold it in a proton stream, draw it into a trap, then empty the trap into permanent storage at the firehouse.
The major devices each have their own entry, including the Proton Pack, the Ghost Trap, the PKE Meter, the Ecto Goggles, the Containment Unit, the Slime Blower, and the Ectomobile.
