Crank Knob

The Crank Knob, is 1-1/4" in diameter, and is made by the Raytheon Group.****** Raytheon is a government contractor that specializes in military applications. The crank knob was most likely an generic knob created for free spinning applications. It has found its way onto several familar applications, but the most household friendly has been on the MRC model train power transformers. The crank knobs were mounted on the crank generater located on the top area of the Crank Generator. In the first movie they were grey, but in Ghostbusters 2 they were replaced with a black one (possibly painted). This is sometimes a good way to identify which movie the pack is from, however some packs from the first movie were repainted and reused. The knob fits on a 1/4" shaft, and has a set screw to anchor it. ****** The Raytheon knob product line has been acquired and is currently manufactured by Electronic Hardware Corporation (EHC).
