V-hook

The V-hook is the name given to the bent metal part attached to the bottom of the thower and its alternate piece attached to the pack's gun mount.

There are various styles of the V-hook..

For GB1 on the Hero packs it was made out of four pieces: Roughly a 2" x 2" square, the Male portion of the hook is in 2 pieces that mount to the pack from the inside on the gun mount, and the Female hook that is mounted to the thrower through the face/inside of the hook.

For GB2 on the Semi Hero packs, and refitted Venkman Hero pack, it was made out of three pieces: Roughly a 2" x 2" square, the Male portion of the hook is made from one piece both mount to the pack from the inside on the gun mount, and the Female hook that mounted to the thrower through the face/inside of the hook. The angle was also changed to make it easier to un-holster the throwers.
