Al Roker

Albert Lincoln Roker (born August 20, 1954, in Queens, New York) is an American television personality, meteorologist, and author. The son of a Bahamian-descended bus driver and a mother of Jamaican descent, he studied graphic design and broadcast journalism at the State University of New York at Oswego, where he also worked as a part-time weekend weatherman. He has been the primary weather anchor on NBC's Today show since January 26, 1996, making him one of the most recognized figures in American morning television. A 10-time Emmy Award winner, he founded Al Roker Entertainment in 1994 and has hosted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Rose Bowl Parade for NBC.

In Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016), Roker appeared as himself during a Today show weather segment, speculating on air about the four women who had stopped Rowan North's ghost invasion. After in-universe character Erin Gilbert sees the segment, she remarks that she now understands how Batman must feel. Roker visited the Boston production set during filming and was later featured in promotional material for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024). On the January 26, 2026 episode of Today, during an interview with Ernie Hudson, Roker was presented with Ghostbusters collectibles including a Hasbro Plasma Series Proton Pack and a signed Winston Zeddemore Funko Pop from the 35th Anniversary line.
