Bokeem Woodbine (born April 13, 1973, in Harlem, New York) is an American actor. He began his career as a rock guitarist before transitioning to acting after landing an opportunity as an extra on the 1992 film Juice. Despite not appearing in the finished cut, he caught the attention of the casting director, which led to his first credited role in the HBO film Strapped (1993), directed by Forest Whitaker. He built a steady career in film and television over the following decades, with significant roles in Crooklyn (1994) and Dead Presidents (1995).
In Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), Woodbine played Sheriff Domingo, the local law enforcement officer in Summerville, Oklahoma. His character delivers the iconic franchise line "Who you gonna call?" It was later revealed that Domingo's first name is Sherman. Woodbine was first reported to have joined the production in August 2019, and his role was confirmed publicly in July 2020.
His most widely recognized television role is Mike Milligan, a Kansas City mob enforcer in Season 2 of Fargo (FX, 2015), for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award and won a Black Reel Award. He also played the villain Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).
