Dee Bradley Baker (born August 31, 1962, in Bloomington, Indiana)1 is an American voice actor, comedian, ventriloquist, singer, and former game show host. He is widely regarded as one of the most prolific voice actors working in animation and video games, recognized for signature roles including Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb, Klaus Heisler in American Dad!, and Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He appeared as a guest voice actor on Extreme Ghostbusters in 1997.
Early life and education
Baker was born in Bloomington, Indiana, and grew up in Greeley, Colorado, where he attended University High School, graduating in 1981.1 He began performing at age nine, steadily building experience in musicals, operas, plays, and stand-up comedy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Colorado College in Colorado Springs in 19861 and spent one additional year studying at the University of Göttingen, Germany, where he became fluent in German.1 After completing his studies, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a professional acting career.
