Dan Aykroyd

Stats: Born Daniel Edward Aykroyd on July 1, 1952 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Bio: Dan is one of a long string of comedians and actors to come from Canada in the 70’s and 80’s. He started acting in his high-school years although his college major was actually Criminology and Sociology at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is best known for his time on “Saturday Night Live” and his roles in “Ghostbusters” and “The Blues Brothers”. He has an avid interest in the paranormal, blues music, and criminology. These interests are reflected strongly in his big-screen acting roles (Ghostbusters, Blues Brothers, and Dragnet to name a few.) He currently lives in Canada and has a personal brand of wine that he sells (the Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series). He’s a spokesperson and distributor of Patron Tequila. He is also part owner of the “House of Blues” restaurant/concert venue chain.
