Daniel Ramis

Daniel Hayes Ramis (born August 10, 1994) is an American actor and filmmaker, and the son of the late Harold Ramis, who played Egon Spengler in the original Ghostbusters films. Growing up as the youngest child of Harold Ramis, he developed an interest in creative work that eventually led him both in front of and behind the camera.
In Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016), Daniel Ramis appeared as Metal Head, the fan at the Stonebrook Theatre who gives Rowan North a high five during a rock concert sequence. His casting was a direct tribute to his father, who had died in 2014, and the role connected the Ramis family to the franchise in a new generation.
Beyond acting, Daniel Ramis has worked as a producer and filmmaker. His short film Dingus Wishes (2018), an eight-minute comedy drama, received a nomination for Best Professional Short (Narrative) at the Chicago Southland International Film Festival. He followed that with another short, Everything Is Fine (2019).
