Berón was born to a Colombian father and an American mother and grew up in Venezuela before the family relocated to the United States.1 He attended high school in Lubbock, Texas.5 He later trained at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago, graduating in 1989; the institution is now known as The Theatre School at DePaul University.56

    Career

After completing his theatrical training, Berón built a career spanning live-action television and film, animation voice work, and video game performance across roughly 25 years.

His early live-action credits include a supporting role in the TV movie Honor Thy Father and Mother: The True Story of the Menendez Murders (1994), in which he played Erik Menendez,5 and a guest appearance as Nick in a 1994 episode of Mad About You.5 He also appeared as John in the theatrical film Entertaining Angels: The Dorothy Day Story (1996), a biographical drama about social activist Dorothy Day.5

On the animation and voice side, Berón landed the lead voice role of Wilbur the pig in Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure (2003), the direct-to-video follow-up to the classic Hanna-Barbera adaptation.3 He later contributed additional voices to major studio animated features including Pixar's Coco (2017) and Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022), as well as the stop-motion feature Missing Link (2019).1

His video game work includes roles in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, Age of Empires III, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (voicing Hideyasu Yuki), Dead Rising (as Miguel Sanchez), Dynasty Warriors 7, Dynasty Warriors 8, République, and Grand Theft Auto V.2

After approximately 25 years in the acting profession, Berón transitioned to clinical psychology, earning a master's degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and establishing a private psychotherapy practice in California.1
