Kim Faires is a Canadian actress and director born and raised in Alberta who is based in Calgary. Outside of her screen work, she is an avid recreational ice-hockey player and photographer. She wrote and directed the autobiographical short Hockeyheart (2011), which drew on her personal experience with the sport. Other credits as actress and director include Six Figures (2005) and The Long Road (2012).
In Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), Faires appeared as a Waitress at Spinners Roller Hop, a roller-hop diner in Summerville, Oklahoma. Her scene takes place during the Summerville cross-rip event: a Miner Ghost manifests at the front bar of the diner, and her character serves it a coffee before looking up and realizing what she is actually looking at.
