Career
Pappas first gained television exposure through stand-up specials and talk-show bookings. Her stand-up performances were featured on An Evening of Comedy with Jimmie Walker and Friends (1988), The Pat Sajak Show (1989), The Late Show, and Caught In The Act.1 On the scripted side, she appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987 and became a series regular on The Cheech Show in 1988, playing Juanita Valdez.1
Her voice acting career took off in the 1990s and into the early 2000s. Her most prominent animation credit is Shriek in Skeleton Warriors (1994), a Saturday-morning action series, where she voiced the character across all 13 episodes.1 She followed that with the role of Eden across two episodes of Disney's Aladdin animated series (1994-1995).1
By the late 1990s she had become a busy session voice artist. She voiced Officer Sanchez in eight episodes of The Blues Brothers Animated Series (1997) and Auntie Foo Foo in two episodes of The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper (1997-1998). Her most sustained recurring role of the period was Stiffany Deadman and Mother Screetch in Toonsylvania (1998-1999), appearing in 20 episodes of the DreamWorks animated series.14 She also voiced Valen in the role-playing video game Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (2000), a role that earned her recognition among fans of the BioWare title.1

Ghostbusters II (1989)
Pappas appears briefly in Ghostbusters II as the Wife of the Arguing Couple, the bickering pair spotted in the background of Egon Spengler's lab. The role is a small but recognizable cameo that brought her back to the franchise years later.2
Extreme Ghostbusters (1997)
Pappas returned to the Ghostbusters universe as a guest voice actor in Extreme Ghostbusters, voicing the Ghost Bride in the episode "Till Death Do Us Start" (Production #137, Episode 29, aired November 14, 1997, written by Lane Raichert and directed by Tim Eldred). The episode follows an ex-yuppie who accidentally releases a dangerous ghost bride from a boarded-up wishing well and hires the Extreme Ghostbusters to keep him from becoming her permanent groom.3
