Plot

On his first day as a Ghostbuster, Winston Zeddemore is immediately thrown into the world of paranormal elimination when a call sends the team to the Museum of Natural History to deal with pterosaur ghosts.2 Armed with his proton pack and very little experience, Winston works alongside Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, and Ray Stantz. The bust takes place after 1 in the morning, as shown by Egon's alarm clock on page two.2

Equipment

The team uses Ecto-1, Ecto Goggles, proton packs with particle throwers, and ghost traps.

Locations

The story moves between the Ghostbusters' firehouse headquarters and the Museum of Natural History.

Development

The issue was originally conceived as a zero issue to be released ahead of the four-part Ghostbusters: Legion mini-series, setting up the tone and world before that series began.1 When the timing did not work out, it was repurposed as a convention exclusive, released at the 88MPH Studios booth at San Diego Comic Con 2004 to help promote Legion.1

88MPH Studios was a Quebec-based publisher operated by Sebastien Clavet.1 After Legion concluded, the studio announced plans for an ongoing monthly series and a hardcover trade paperback collection of Legion that would have included a colored version of The Zeddemore Factor, concept art, production logs, and a foreword by Dan Aykroyd.1 The 88MPH hardcover trade was never published despite collecting pre-orders.1 Titan Books (UK) released a softcover trade paperback that included a colorized version of The Zeddemore Factor, but without the extras promised in the 88MPH edition.1
