Story Summary

Spike sends the Ghostbusters a distress signal warning that Nurtog has returned. The team enlists the help of Doc Hazzard, a member of the Crime Patrol, and journeys to the prehistoric underworld to confront the threat. Their efforts are complicated when Nurtog breaks through to New York City and begins wreaking havoc on the surface.

The issue draws on the prehistoric "Earth's Core" setting established in earlier NOW Comics issues, featuring locations including a "Polar Entrance," an unnamed island, and the landmark Skull Mountain.
