Egon Spengler (12 Inch)
2 min read
Hi everyone. Didnt see this posted yet, so here it is. I recieved Egon and Winston today and thought I would post photos of Egon since weve seen very little coverage of him. I will not go into a full review, since 98% of this figure has been seen already. The GOOD: -Mattel has improved its 1:6th scale body. The joints are super tight and feels much more sturdy. -They added clear elastic bands around the bottoms of Egons jumpsuit so they stay tucked into his boots, Rays tend to want to crawl out of the boot, this is a nice addition. -PKE Meter, its beautiful great paint and a cool desing PLUS spring loaded wings! -Jumpsuit is the same material but feels a bit more tailored to the body not as baggy in the torso area as Ray's is. -Accessories, He comes with a ton and everything feels sturdier. Even the elbow pads are a little more tailored and fit snug and better. -Paint, its great, nice wash on the hair and has a nice textured sculpt to it. Mattel still needs a little work on painting realistic eyebrows, lips and eyes. But everything is clean and straight. The BAD: -Head sculpt. Still a little cartoonish, and there is definatly some warping that went on as this came out of the mold. Egons temples are pushed in towards the center of his head giving him an odd shaped head and look. -Neck joint, due to the warping of Egons head out of the mold, his head sits WAY down on the neck post, giving him NO neck , add in the floppy neck post and this is an issue. -Glasses, they are in scale, but look really cheesy. OVERALL: the good outweights the bad here, He is a great 1:6th figure and looks great with Ray, I am looking forward to the remaining 2 Ghostbusters WInston and Peter! Enjoy some photos! J
