Toys R Us Minimates Wave 3

The third wave of Toys "R" Us exclusive MiniMates gives us some great heroes and villains from the second Ghostbusters film, including the much anticipated Scoleri Brothers ghosts from the courtroom scene (and accompanying courtroom Egon and Ray figures) as well as the baddest Carpathian ever (heee es Veeeego!) and "World of the Psychic" Peter Venkman, complete with hairless cat accessory! Ghostbusters fans are also treated to the final grey Ghostbusters 2 figure (Egon) who comes with some awesome new accessories! Egons pack-in ghost is the ship captain of the Titanic, who we dont actually see on-screen in the film, but it's a cool looking figure regardless!Courtoom Egon Spengler & Scoleri Brother Tony Courtroom Egon: "Dr. Egon Spengler's studies of human emotions and their paranormal attributes uniquely qualified him to understand the true nature of "Mood slime" - especially the psycho-reactive properties triggered by Judge Wexler's outbursts!" The Courtroom Egon figure features a new torso sculpt with sweater and tie details sculpted into it and sculpted proton pack straps, as opposed to the previously released Courtroom Peter whose torso is rather bland with printed on pack straps and details. Egon also comes with 2 new accessories which we have not seen before, a Gigameter and an open Trap with elongated cord! And of course the attached proton pack is included, which is attached to the back of the torso piece, same as previous incarnations. Staying true to the film, this new incarnation comes with a "higher" hair-piece and an alternate facial expression, based on the "Do... Ray... Egon!" scene of the Courtroom Battle with the Scoleri Brothers. Tony Scoleri: "Half of a murderous duo, Tony Scoleri and his brother Nunzio were sentenced to death by electrocution and returned as poltergeists to seek vengeance against Judge Wexler thanks to the mood slime." The Tony Scoleri ghost figure comes with a removable sculpted hair piece with electric-chair headband, as well as the wrist-lock bands from when he and his brother were electrocuted, and a new sculpted vest. His hands are the same "clawed" sculpt as used on the Librarian ghost. Like Courtroom Egon, the Courtroom Ray figure comes with a new torso sculpt that has the details sculpted into the piece (proton pack straps, jacket & tie etc). Also like Egon, the Ray figure has a new facial expression, but I believe his hair-piece is the same as previous Ray figures. Ray comes with his proton pack, a proton beam and another coiled trap accessory, which we have seen before with the DST wave 2 fourpack. Nunzio Scoleri: "Along with his brother Tony, the Scoleri Brothers utilized impressive electrical powers after their ghostly resurrections in Judge Wexler's courtroom. Only the Ghostbusters could stop this rampaging duo and save the day." The Nunzio figure's head is actually a separate piece that slips over a blank transparent base minimate head, which has the electric-chair band sculpted into it like his brother Tony. He also has similar wristbands like the Tony figure and comes with a fat torso piece that matches his on-screen counterpart well. His hands are normal minimate hands, as opposed to Tony Scoleri, who has claw hands.
