I am a Mechanical Engineer that teaches and troubleshoots the Finite Element Analysis package of the software SolidWorks. I also do engineering consultation for simulation of designs. Before college I did welding and metal fabrication. I consider myself, like my icon Egon Spengler, to be a man of science... and maybe very hidden emotion.
I also play shogi.

Started a forum topic: Advice for lighting in clothing for a custom costume idea I had based on Quantum Leap
I had a crazy idea for a themed costume the other day, which would involve using a complicated lighting system attached to my body. I’m not sure how feasible it is and would like advice. The idea is to replicate, as much as technologically possible, the lighting effects from Quantum Leap when Dr. B…

Finished this design just weeks before Halloween. My friend’s kid really wants to be RGB Venkman after watching the series on Netflix with his dad. I volunteered to make him an RGB pack ever since he was born, and since I have lots of free time before I start grad school, now was the time to do it. …

My friend’s son wants to be RGB Venkman for Halloween, so I’m designing and 3D printing him a proton pack in his size (he’s 4). Any suggestions on grips in the right material, size, and color? I’ve researched lots of other builds but rarely do they have a BOM. I know the most obvious solution is to …

Hey guys, I made this video for fun using my simulation program. It’s about how a steering differential works. I was inspired by (and stole audio from) a great 1930s science video. Let me know what you think and forgive the one or two editing errors; my 200 dollar editing software loves to corrupt t…

Yes, this is shameless. I’m OK with that. How are you? That’s good. We never talk anymore, I feel. Anyways… I made this video for my work, actually for an engineering convention in which I showed off the RC dragster project. The goal of the project was to use Flow Simulation to test new wing design…
