Any recommendations?

I’m attempting to recharge my blue brick and not having any luck. The battery hasn’t seen that much use and this is actually the first time I’m trying to recharge it. I have it set to ON. It is receiving power. I have left it for several hours and the battery never switches to a green indicator …

I’d like to build a switch that is on the outside of the pack in the back. Would there be an easy way to just purchase a switch to do this? My electrical skills are amateur. Would I need to splice the power cables to expose the wires? Thanks!
