Michael Kushner is a New York-based actor, photographer, and producer with credits across stage, screen, and digital media. As a photographer, he created The Dressing Room Project, a long-running photographic journal documenting actors at work preparing for their roles on Broadway; his images have appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, and coverage of the Tony Awards. He is a founding member of Musical Theatre Factory and an executive producer on the Emmy-nominated web series Indoor Boys. He also hosts the weekly live talk show My Broadway Memory, produced by Broadway Podcast Network.
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), Kushner was cast as a Tourist Looking at a Map alongside co-actor Remy Germinario, together forming the Tourist Couple Looking at Map. Their scene was set on Eldridge Street in Chinatown, where the pair are shown lost and looking at a map when the Death Chill begins to freeze the neighborhood. The deleted scene involved the characters running while a fan blew at high speed into the actors' faces to simulate the heat and urgency of the situation. The scene was cut from the theatrical release, though both actors retained their screen credits.
