I have Googled and seen a couple of these around, but not in this condition… Does anyone have any information on this hand? Where it came from and whether or not it’s authentic?

I recently acquired an original cast of the temple of gozer door and the paint job on it is unsatisfactory. Does anyone know if i can use paint stripper or paint thinner to take the paint completely off? I dont want to scrape because i dont want to compromise the detail and im afraid to use any ty…
