I have my waist straps put on my alice frame the correct way but i cant get it to be long enough to go around me. I am not a big guy waist size 36. Is there something that I might be doing wrong. Any ideas?

I am putting the final touches on my hero pack build and I am having some issue with the split loom. The originals used split loom and they look fairly good.
