Does anyone know where I can get one that looks really close?

I’d like to ask a question that may sound just plain stupid, but I really like to know what you think about it.
A friend of mine told me he would like to build a full metall Proton Pack and then make it a black chrome. Not chrome spraypaint but the real deal. Would that be a good or a bad thing?
