The Buffalo Ghostbusters held the 2022 installment of their pre-
Ghostbusters Day fund-raising drive for the crew of
Hook & Ladder №8 firehouse at the iconic FDNY fire station on Saturday, featuring a whole host of events and special guests:
•Appearance by Ecto-1 replica, the
Ecto-1 NJ, which recreated the iconic scene of the Ghostbusters leaving the Firehouse for their first bust at the Sedgewick Hotel. The car also provided a photo opportunity for attending fans.
•Special autograph appearances by
Joe Cirillo, who played the NYPD Police Captain in the Containment Unit explosion scene; and
Stephen Friedland who appeared as the Hare Krishna during the original film's end credits and provided musical entertainment during the event.
Of course, the biggest news to come out of the day's events was the announcement that the team's efforts have raised a further $5,570 through donations and signed poster raffle for the crew of Hook & Ladder №8, reaching an incredible combined total of $8,600!
And it would appear that the team still have a surprise up their sleeve, teasing that they have something further to reveal at 2pm EST on June 8th.
