Cast

This issue features the core team: Egon Spengler, Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, and Slimer. Original characters introduced in this issue include the Jacobs family: Michele Jacobs (Janine's cousin), her son Alec Aaron Jacobs, and the ghosts of 19th-century ancestor Ginerva Jacobs and her son Aaron Jacobs. The Yellow Bat Spider also appears.

Plot

Egon and Janine visit Janine's cousin Michele and uncover a dark family history. In 1840, Ginerva Jacobs, a witch, possessed her sister and murdered her own son Aaron Jacobs. In the present, Michele's son Alec begins seeing Aaron's ghost, and Ginerva soon possesses Michele in an attempt to make her kill Alec as well. Egon and Janine determine that their only hope is to travel back in time and stop Ginerva before she kills Aaron in the first place.

Notes

  • The front cover depicts ghosts escaping the Containment Unit, a scene that does not occur anywhere in the actual story.
  • That cover is a reuse of the artwork originally published on the cover of Marvel Comics The Real Ghostbusters Issue 37.
  • This issue was published concurrently with Slimer! NOW Comics Issue 19, which was the final issue of Slimer!'s regular ongoing run.
