For those keeping track of the forums and Twitter, there's a lot of rumbling concerning IDW's latest Ghostbusters story,
Tainted Love, which was scheduled to hit stands on the 10th for the Valentines weekend, but as of this writing has yet to materialize.
Dara Naraghi, the writer of the story has revealed that the delay affecting shipment of issues to stores across the country was purely technical:
Apparently what made it miss the original ship date for the week of Valentine’s Day is that it got held up in customs.
He notes that the comic should be out in most stores today, with the exception of the East coast due to extremely unfortunate circumstances:
But here’s where the story takes a tragic twist: it is officially hitting stores this week (17th), except for most of the East coast. The truck from Diamond Distributors that had all of IDW’s books on it for the East coast stores was involved in a very bad weather-related accident. My understanding is that the driver(s) are in critical condition in the hospital.
So needless to say, it’s a very unfortunate event and I hope that everyone involved pulls through and makes a full recovery.
We wish only the best for those involved in the accident, and that they have a speedy recovery.
Dara has also posted that Newsarama has a 7 page preview (two are alternate covers) of
Tainted Love, although it should be noted that the text is hard to read due to the poor quality of the files:
