As Comic Con rumbles onward toward the weekend, more details and photographs have been released into the online community for the new Ghostbusters figure line from Mattel.
First up, toyark.com gets a big scoop with photos of all four 6-inch series Ghostbusters figures, as well as Walter Peck, Containment Unit Accessory and neat no-ghost logo figure seen
here.
The line looks like it's going to be awesome on the whole, I can't wait to own that mini Containment Unit.
More photos can be seen on the site, but
registration is neccesary
In addition, following a Panel by mattel, the following details have been confirmed for the figure release schedule:
Egon Spengler 6 Inch with Slimer (not slimed): August
Ray Stantz 6 Inch with no-ghost logo: October
Winston Zeddemore 6 Inch with Trap: December
Walter Peck 6 Inch with Containment Unit: March
Peter Venkman 6 Inch*: May
Ray Stantz 12 Inch: September
Egon Spengler 12 Inch: November
Peter Venkman 12 Inch: April
Winston Zeddemore 12 Inch: July
CORRECTION
Apparently the Egon Spengler figure due out in August is the slimed varient. No word yet as to when the unslimed version will be released.
According to
Toy News International, Mattel is also considering a Ecto-1 product, but this is subject to cost effectiveness, as well as a large scale Stay Puft figure. There is also the possibility of future releases of figures in different scales (presumably in addition to the 6 and 12 Inch lines) for the possibility of playsets in the future - this is subject to whether there is a new movie. They are also working on a "redo" of the Real Ghostbusters series by Kenner (we knew they were going to be doing something RGB related, but weren't aware it was possibly going to remake the Kenner toy line).
* Final model will feature gloves and untucked jumpsuit legs.
