PKE Surge is returning this Labor Day weekend as part of Dragon Con 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, an event no Ghostbusters fan should miss. Held annually during Dragon Con, PKE Surge is the world's oldest annual gathering of Ghostbusters fans, bringing together costumed enthusiasts, prop builders, creators, and community members from across the franchise's dedicated fanbase. Over the Labor Day weekend, attendees enjoy a packed schedule of events, panels, and celebrations set against the backdrop of one of the biggest pop culture conventions on the planet.

As a mini-convention within Dragon Con, PKE Surge serves as the central hub for the global Ghostbusters community. Since its inception, it has grown into a beloved tradition where fans connect, compete, create, and celebrate everything Ghostbusters together. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or attending for the first time, PKE Surge offers something for everyone, from parade marching and panel discussions to prop showcases and community awards.

Built, Not Bought Themed Mixer at 7:00 PM
Hyatt, Exhibitor Level

Kick off the weekend by showing off your handcrafted props and costumes at this fan-favorite mixer. The "Built, Not Bought" theme celebrates the incredible creativity and craftsmanship within the Ghostbusters community. If you built it yourself, wear it and be proud.

Saturday, September 5

Dragon Con Parade, Line-up at 9:40 AM
607 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta

One of the most iconic moments of the entire weekend. Dozens of fully suited-up Ghostbusters and custom-built Ectomobile replica vehicles take to the streets of downtown Atlanta in the legendary Dragon Con Parade. If you want to march with the group, be at 607 Peachtree Street NE no later than 9:40 AM to line up.

Marriott Marquis, Room M103-105 (Classics Track Room)

Cap off Saturday night with a dedicated panel celebrating the beloved animated series, "The Real Ghostbusters," held in the Dragon Con Classics Track room at the Marriott Marquis.

Sunday, September 6

Community Awards Lunch at 1:00 PM
Mellow Mushroom, Atlanta

The weekend wraps up with the annual PKE Surge Awards Lunch, a tradition that celebrates outstanding contributions, exceptional prop builds, and community engagement within the Ghostbusters fan world. Please note: space is limited, and props and proton packs are not permitted at this venue. Plan accordingly.

Fan Table

Throughout the weekend, keep an eye out for the PKE Surge Fan Table, which operates on a pop-up basis inside the convention space. Stop by for fan interaction, games, and to meet hat artist Bryon Bates, who will be on hand as his schedule allows.
